About Blindworks

Blindworks is a family-owned, second-generation window treatment, area rug, and wallpaper company based in Westfield, NJ. As a Hunter Douglas dealer, we serve affluent residential and commercial clients across northern and central New Jersey, delivering a white-glove design experience built on quality craftsmanship, premium products, and personalized service.

About the Role

We're seeking a talented interior designer for a flexible, part-time Design Concierge position. This is a design sales role: you'll meet with clients in their homes to design and sell custom window treatments and complementary home furnishings.

The best part? We handle the leads, scheduling, and logistics — so you can focus on what you do best: designing beautiful spaces and building client relationships. Qualified appointments are booked directly onto your calendar based on your availability, and you're free to bring in and schedule your own clients on top of the leads we provide.

What You'll Do

Meet with clients in their homes to understand their design goals, style, and functional needs
Design and sell primarily window treatments — including shades, blinds, shutters, and drapery
Identify opportunities to expand projects with additional products such as area rugs, wallpaper, fabrics, reupholstery, and more
Guide clients through product selection, measurements, and proposals
Deliver a consultative, white-glove experience from first appointment through the sale
Manage your own schedule and follow up with clients to close projects

What We're Looking For

Background or strong interest in interior design, home furnishings, or a related field
A keen eye for color, style, and detail
Comfort in a client-facing, consultative sales environment
Self-motivated and organized, with the ability to manage your own appointments and follow-ups
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
Reliable transportation and a valid driver's license (this is a field-based role)
Prior experience in window treatments, design sales, or a showroom setting is a plus, but not required
