Executive Director – Senior Living CommunityFull-Time | Exempt

We are seeking an experienced and motivated Executive Director to lead the daily operations of a senior living community with a strong focus on Memory Care services. The ideal candidate will bring proven leadership experience, operational oversight, team development skills, and a passion for providing exceptional care and support to seniors and their families.

This role is responsible for overseeing all aspects of community operations, ensuring regulatory compliance, maintaining financial performance, supporting employee engagement, and creating a positive experience for residents and families.

ResponsibilitiesCommunity Leadership & Operations

Lead and oversee the overall operations of the senior living community
Ensure residents receive high-quality care and services in a safe and welcoming environment
Support and guide department leaders in daily operations and long-term planning
Promote a culture centered on teamwork, accountability, professionalism, and resident satisfaction
Ensure compliance with all federal, state, and local regulations

Resident & Family Experience

Foster strong relationships with residents, families, and staff
Address concerns in a timely and professional manner
Support programming and services that enhance resident quality of life
Maintain a resident-focused approach with an emphasis on dignity, respect, and independence

Financial & Occupancy Management

Manage community budgeting and financial performance
Monitor expenses, accounts receivable, and operational efficiencies
Support occupancy and census growth through community outreach and relationship building
Partner with sales and marketing efforts to maintain strong referral relationships

Team Development

Recruit, coach, and retain quality staff and leadership team members
Conduct performance management, training, and staff development initiatives
Maintain staffing levels appropriate for resident care needs and regulatory requirements
Encourage a positive and supportive work environment

Compliance & Quality Assurance

Ensure readiness for state surveys, audits, and inspections
Implement and monitor quality assurance and performance improvement initiatives
Stay informed on industry trends, best practices, and regulatory updates

Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree in Healthcare Administration, Business, Gerontology, or related field preferred
Minimum 5 years of leadership experience in senior living, assisted living, memory care, or healthcare operations
Strong operational and financial management experience
Knowledge of assisted living and memory care regulations
Excellent communication, leadership, and organizational skills
Experience managing teams in a fast-paced environment
CALA, RCAL, LNHA, or applicable state licensure/certification preferred
