Full Job Description

Eaton’s ES GEIS BLD division is currently seeking a Machine Operator (3rd Shift) to join our team in Reno, NV! The rate for this position is $22.73 plus $1 shift differential per hour.

The core hours are Monday through Friday from 10 pm - 6:30 am. Overtime may exceed these hours and be mandatory at times.

What you’ll do:

Understand and proficiently operate assigned machines/presses.
Troubleshoot various machinery problems.
Identify and tag tubs according to shop orders.
QC and document all parts run on machines.
Retrieve and enter data into SAP computer system.
Inventory components and supplies as needed to ensure efficient and timely production.
Keep work areas clean and safe.
Other various duties and responsibilities as may be assigned.

Qualifications:

Required (Basic) Qualifications:

Preferred Qualifications:

Previous experience in a manufacturing environment.
Six (6) months + of experience with forming or bending machines.
Six (6) months + of experience reading drawings or blueprints.
Experience confirming that parts conform to specs using measuring tools.

Skills:

Ability to operate machinery and presses safely.
Ability to read, accurately interpret, and produce parts from blueprints and shop drawings.
Ability to identify different gauges and types of raw material.
Ability to accurately read tape measure, scales, and calipers.
Ability to work effectively and productively as member of a team with minimal supervision.

Physical Requirements:

Ability to stand on feet continuously during working shift with or without reasonable accommodation.
Ability to lift and bend on a continuous basis with or without reasonable accommodation.
Ability to regularly lift 35 pounds with or without reasonable accommodation.

Working Conditions:

Exposure to cold/heat weather conditions while shipping doors are open.
