Company: Nevada Water & Fire Restoration

Location: Based in Sparks — covering Reno & surrounding Northern Nevada areas

Job Type: Full-time · Part-time · Contract (1099)

Pay: $30/hour + commission — $1,000–$5,000+ per closed job, paid per claim signed. Weekly payouts. No cap on earnings.

Work Location: On the road, out in the community

About the Role

Nevada Water & Fire Restoration is a fast-growing, locally-owned company serving the greater Reno area — and when disaster strikes, we're the people who show up. We help families recover from water and fire damage: fast, fair, and with heart.

When a home catches fire, the family is standing on the sidewalk in shock with no idea what happens next. That's where you come in. You're the calm, friendly face who walks up, steadies them, and shows them there's a way forward.

We're looking for a caring, level-headed person to respond to fire and disaster scenes across the Reno/Sparks area and help homeowners get started with emergency board-up, mitigation, and restoration services. If you've worked as a firefighter, EMT, paramedic, nurse, police officer, or in any first responder role, you already have the instincts we value: showing up in a crisis, staying steady, and connecting with people when it matters most.

One important note: this role does not involve handling, negotiating, or settling insurance claims. Your job is to get the homeowner's authorization to begin restoration work — that's it. Everything tied to their insurance claim is handled separately by our licensed claims team, not by you.

What You'll Do

Keep an eye on fire, flood, and emergency alerts and respond fast — day or night
Be first on scene, arriving within 15–30 minutes of dispatch
Meet families with genuine compassion — read the room, stay calm, never pushy
Explain our board-up, mitigation, and rebuild services in plain, no-pressure language
When the family is ready, get the work authorization signed on scene (not a claim, not an insurance document) and hand off clean to the office team
Be a familiar, trusted face to local fire departments, first responders, and the community
Be available nights and weekends — that's where the volume is

What We're Looking For

A warm, genuine communicator who can connect with people in a tough moment — calm, patient, and easy to trust
First responder background strongly preferred — firefighter, EMT, paramedic, nurse, police, or similar
Calm and steady under pressure; comfortable walking up to strangers on the worst day of their lives
Reliable transportation and a valid driver's license — you'll be out and about often
Available to respond nights and weekends
Sales, roofing, construction, or restoration experience is a plus — but attitude matters most
