Shift Differentials and Incentive Pay Applies

Job Summary
We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Cook to join our culinary team. The ideal candidate will have a passion for food and a commitment to providing high-quality meals in a fast-paced environment. As a Cook, you will be responsible for preparing and cooking a variety of dishes while adhering to food safety standards and menu specifications. This role is essential in ensuring that our dietary department operates smoothly and efficiently.

Responsibilities

Prepare and cook meals according to established recipes and menu plans.
Ensure all food is prepared in compliance with food safety regulations and standards.
Assist in menu planning, considering dietary restrictions and preferences of guests.
Maintain cleanliness and organization of the kitchen area, including proper food handling practices.
Utilize kitchen equipment safely, including knives and other cooking tools.
Collaborate with dietary aides and other kitchen staff to ensure timely service of meals.
Participate in catering events as needed, providing excellent service to guests.
Monitor inventory levels of food supplies and assist in ordering as necessary.

Requirements

Previous experience in the food industry, particularly in a restaurant or catering environment, is preferred.
Knowledge of food safety practices and regulations is essential.
Strong knife skills and familiarity with various cooking techniques are required.
Ability to work efficiently under pressure while maintaining high-quality standards.
Excellent communication skills and ability to work as part of a team.
Flexibility to work various shifts, including evenings and weekends if needed.

Pay depends on experience and performance. Shift differentials and incentives are in play!
