Full Job Description

Black Angus Steakhouse was founded in 1964 by Stuart Anderson, a rancher who believed great food should be cooked over fire, served generously, and shared with great people. Today, we continue that legacy by creating Memorable Dining Experiences for our Guests across five western states.

We’re looking for a skilled and dependable Broiler Cook who takes pride in their craft and is reliable for evening dinner shifts, playing a key role in delivering high‑quality meals every night.

About the Role:

As a Broiler Cook, you are responsible for preparing and broiling menu items to Black Angus standards during evening service. You’ll support a smooth and efficient dinner operation while maintaining high standards of food quality, safety, and cleanliness in a fast‑paced kitchen environment.

What You’ll Do:

Prepare and broil all menu items as ordered, ensuring quality, accuracy, and consistency
Complete line setup accurately and on time for evening dinner service
Handle re‑fires and remakes efficiently to ensure Guest satisfaction
Maintain steam table items, refrigerated items, and dry storage areas
Keep your station clean, organized, and stocked throughout your shift
Communicate food timing and preparation needs with backup personnel
Assist teammates with side work when needed
Collaborate positively with kitchen, service, and bar team members
Follow all food safety, sanitation, and workplace safety standards
Handle challenges or complaints with a calm, positive attitude
Perform additional duties as assigned by the Chef, Sous Chef, or Manager

What We’re Looking For:

Previous broiler or line cook experience required
Strong work ethic and attention to detail
Ability to work efficiently during evening and dinner rush shifts
Team‑oriented mindset with a positive attitude
Passion for quality food and Guest satisfaction
Commitment to safety, cleanliness, and teamwork
State and locally required certifications
Availability to work evenings, weekends, and ALL holidays
