Job Summary
We are seeking a friendly and enthusiastic Cafe Worker to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for providing excellent customer service, preparing food and beverages, maintaining a clean and welcoming environment for our patrons, and covering/filling in when needed. This role is perfect for individuals who enjoy working in a fast-paced setting and have a passion for healthy food made and prepared from scratch, making coffee, serving customers, and interacting in a team environment in addition to working alone.

Duties

Greet customers warmly and take their orders accurately.
Prepare (lots of prep) and serve a variety of food items and beverages, including coffee, tea, pastries, sandwiches, salads and acai bowls.
Maintain cleanliness of the cafe area, including tables, counters, and equipment.
Assist with inventory management by restocking supplies as needed.
Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations in food handling and preparation.
Handle cash transactions efficiently and accurately.
Provide exceptional customer service by addressing customer inquiries and concerns promptly.
Collaborate with team members to ensure smooth cafe operations.
Reliability is a MUST
Weekend availability

Qualifications

Previous experience in a cafe or food service environment is preferred but not required.
Strong communication skills with the ability to engage positively with customers.
Ability to work in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail.
Basic math skills for handling cash transactions.
Flexibility to work various shifts, including weekends and holidays.
