The Operations Manager is responsible for overseeing repair operations and managing the daily workflow of a team of 3–5 service employees. This role plays a key leadership function in fostering a culture of safety, exceptional customer service, accountability, teamwork, quality, and continuous improvement. The Operations Manager will ensure operational efficiency, support employee development, and drive consistent execution of company standards and objectives.

JOB DUTIES:

Foster a culture of safety
Develop, analyze, and review a variety of production reports to daily manage and improve employee utilization, efficiency, and productivity
Drive daily production through the shop by planning for and allocating proper resources to match required shop output.
Open and close work orders.
Assist customers with parts orders and fulfillment.
Assist technicians in ordering and delivering parts to complete work orders.
Handle walk-in customers for parts, service, and tractor sales
Supervise staff to include hiring, training, evaluating performance, and providing compensation recommendations to ownership
Monitor production operating data and financial performance in order to drive continuous improvement in service efficiency and contribution to company goals.
Schedule and supervise the deployment of mobile technicians

EDUCATION AND/OR EXPERIENCE:

Operations management within the transportation or construction industry
5+ years of experience managing people in a shop environment
Demonstrated success in continuous improvement activities and Lean concepts
Excellent general computer and Microsoft Office proficiency (Excel, Word, etc.)
Proven ability to develop and manage positive customer experiences
Minimum of 1 year experience in the position of Service Advisor in the automotive or transportation industry
