Full Job Description

We are seeking a detail-oriented experienced Accountant / Bookkeeper to manage financial records and ensure accurate bookkeeping for our organization. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in accounting, proficiency accounting software, Microsoft Word, Excel and experience with both corporate and non-profit accounting.

Responsibilities and Qualifications

Proven experience in accounting / bookkeeping roles, preferably within corporate or non-profit sectors
Maintain and update financial records using QuickBooks Desktop accounting software
Proficiency with Excel, Word, and accounting software including QuickBooks
Ability to perform 10 key and typing accurately and efficiently for data entry tasks
Manage accounts payable and accounts receivable processes
Handle payroll processing, deductions, and tax-related tasks with the IRS and State filings
Experience with Reconciling the Balance Sheet, Bank Accounts, and Credit Cards
Excellent organizational skills with attention to detail in maintaining accurate financial records
Effective communication skills with staff, vendors, and or customers
Strong understanding of GAAP principles
