Full Job Description

After Hours Nurse Practitioner (Part-Time) Join Our Growing Team at Airway Pediatrics, AP After Hours

Airway Pediatrics is expanding! We're looking for a compassionate, energetic Nurse Practitioner to help us build AP After Hours, our extended pediatric after-hours clinic serving families throughout the Spokane and surrounding rural communities.

This is an exciting opportunity to help shape a new service while providing high-quality care to children in a supportive, family owned practice. Whether you're an experienced pediatric provider or an NP with urgent care experience who is eager to learn pediatrics, we'd love to meet you.

Schedule

Part-time
Evening and Saturday shifts
4-hour shifts
No call
No holidays
Consistent schedule

What You'll Do

Evaluate and treat infants, children, and adolescents with acute illnesses and minor injuries.
Perform comprehensive assessments, physical examinations, and develop treatment plans.
Diagnose and manage common pediatric conditions including respiratory illnesses, ear infections, strep throat, rashes, minor injuries, urinary tract infections, and more.
Perform common office procedures including wound care, simple laceration repair, splinting, foreign body removal, abscess drainage, and other minor procedures within your scope of practice.
Order and interpret laboratory tests and imaging when appropriate.
Prescribe medications and provide patient and family education.
Document visits accurately using Athenahealth EMR.
Collaborate with our providers and clinical staff to ensure continuity of care.
Deliver compassionate, family-centered care in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment.

What We're Looking For

Current Washington State Nurse Practitioner license.
Board Certification (FNP or PNP preferred).
DEA registration (or ability to obtain).
Experience in pediatrics, family practice, urgent care, or emergency medicine preferred.
New graduates with strong pediatric rotations and a willingness to learn are encouraged to apply.
Excellent communication and clinical decision-making skills.
Passion for caring for children and supporting families.
Ability to work independently while collaborating with the healthcare team.
