Full Job Description

Located in Brooksville, Florida, Southern Hills Plantation Club is one of the state's premier private club communities, featuring a nationally recognized Pete Dye championship golf course, exceptional dining and social amenities, and a welcoming membership culture. Heritage Golf Group owns and operates more than 47 private clubs across the country and offers exciting opportunities for career growth within a dynamic and expanding organization.

The Club Accountant plays a key role in supporting the day-to-day financial and administrative operations of the Club. This individual partners closely with Club leadership and corporate accounting to ensure accurate financial reporting, smooth payroll processing, and overall operational support.

Key Responsibilities

Manage daily revenue reconciliation and cash deposit activities
Process bi-weekly payroll from entry through finalization
Monitor and track commission and bonus payouts
Perform vendor reconciliations and assist with collections and bad debt follow-up
Maintain and monitor system access and controls
Prepare and distribute weekly and periodic financial reports to Club leadership
Review membership applications for accuracy and compliance with Club policies and legal requirements
Support general office operations, including supply ordering and administrative system maintenance
Assist department heads with payroll, benefits, and employee-related administrative processes
Ensure compliance with company policies, internal controls, and financial procedures

Qualifications

Working knowledge of bookkeeping and accounting principles
Ability to pass a background and credit check due to the nature of the role
High school diploma or equivalent required; associate's or bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field preferred
Minimum of 2 years of accounting or bookkeeping experience required
Previous experience in a private club, hospitality, resort, or service-oriented environment preferred
Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
Proficiency with Microsoft Office, particularly Excel
Ability to manage multiple priorities while maintaining confidentiality and professionalism

Pay: $70,000.00 - $80,000.00 per year
