Full Job Description

CNC Machinist — Setup & Operation

Pay: $20.00–$26.00/hr (based on experience)

Looking for a shop where your setup and operation skills actually mean something — and where there's real room to keep growing? We're a custom manufacturing shop in the Dayton area looking for a CNC mill operator with some hands-on setup and operation experience already under their belt, who's still looking to build their skills further.

What You'll Do

Set up and operate CNC mills (Haas and Fanuc controls) for precision production work
Select and set up tooling for jobs
Use Renishaw probing for part setup and in-process inspection
Read and work from blueprints and job prints
Make adjustments and minor offsets to maintain part quality
Take on more complex setups and responsibility as you grow
Pitch in on general shop needs as they come up

What We Offer

Real growth potential. This isn't a role where you plateau — strong performers can grow toward a lead or programming role over time.
Competitive pay. $20.00–$26.00/hr based on the experience and skill you bring in.
Stable schedule. 1st shift, Monday–Friday. Typically 40 hours/week, up to 50 during busy periods — overtime pay after 40 hours.
Paid weekly.

What We're Looking For

Some real hands-on experience with CNC mill setup and operation — you don't need to be a master, but you should be past the basics
Solid understanding of cutting tools and how to set them up for a job
Experience with Haas and/or Fanuc controls
Renishaw probing experience a plus
Comfortable reading blueprints and prints
Attention to detail and pride in quality work
A genuine interest in continuing to grow your skills, not just clock in and out
Reliable and ready to take on more responsibility as you prove yourself
