Full Job Description

Property Management & Operations

Oversee all day-to-day operations of the property.
Manage leasing, renewals, move-ins, move-outs, and inspections.
Coordinate maintenance requests and ensure make-readies are completed efficiently.
Maintain vendor relationships and ensure work quality.
Supervise on-site maintenance or vendors as needed.

Resident Relations & Customer Service

Provide professional and courteous service to all residents.
Enforce lease terms and community policies fairly and consistently.
Address resident inquiries and resolve issues promptly.
Maintain a welcoming, community-oriented atmosphere.

Financial & Administrative Duties

Collect rent, deposits, and fees; process payments accurately.
Monitor budgets, control expenses, and ensure timely reporting.
Maintain accurate records and documentation.
Assist with compliance for LIHTC and HOME program requirements.

Technical & Organizational Skills

Proficient in Microsoft Office and property management software.
Strong attention to detail and ability to multitask effectively.
Maintain organized files, inspection reports, and tenant records.

Teamwork & Communication

Work independently with minimal supervision.
Collaborate with Verma & Associates’ regional team.
Communicate effectively with tenants, vendors, and ownership.

Requirements

3+ years of property management experience (LIHTC or affordable housing experience preferred).
Excellent organizational and communication skills.
Strong problem-solving and leadership abilities.
Valid Driver’s License and reliable transportation required.
High school diploma or equivalent (Bachelor’s degree preferred).

Please note that this is not an exhaustive list of responsibilities and experience requirements. The Assistant Property Manager may be required to perform additional tasks as needed to support the efficient operation of the properties under our management.
