Job Overview
Budr Cannabis is seeking a proactive, organized, and detail-oriented Field Marketing Specialist to support both the Marketing Department's day-to-day operations and the company's field marketing and community outreach initiatives.
This role combines office-based marketing responsibilities with community engagement, event execution, partnership development, and brand representation. While the majority of the workweek will be spent supporting marketing operations from the office, the Field Marketing Specialist will also represent Budr throughout Connecticut, New York, and future markets at community events, sponsorships, grand openings, educational seminars, networking events, and other promotional activations.
This position reports directly to the Director of Marketing and Community Outreach, who determines priorities, assignments, event schedules, projects, and departmental responsibilities. As Budr continues to grow, responsibilities may evolve to support the needs of the organization.
Primary Responsibilities
Marketing Operations
The majority of the employee's work week will consist of office-based marketing responsibilities, including but not limited to:
Marketing Communications
- Assist with internal and external marketing communications
- Draft marketing copy, promotional materials, and customer-facing content
- Support content creation across digital and print platforms
- Assist with proofreading and quality assurance
Email Marketing
- Build, schedule, deploy, and report on email marketing campaigns
- Maintain email marketing calendars
- Assist with customer segmentation and campaign optimization
- Monitor campaign performance and prepare reports
Website & Digital Marketing
- Update website content as directed
- Perform routine website quality assurance checks
- Assist with SEO initiatives and digital marketing improvements
- Monitor website accuracy and functionality
Graphic Design & Creative Support
- Create graphics for print, digital, social media, email, and in-store marketing
- Assist with creative development while maintaining Budr brand standards
- Organize and maintain digital marketing assets
Social Media Support
- Assist with content scheduling and publishing
- Coordinate with internal marketing team on campaigns
- Help monitor engagement and collect content from retail locations and events
Marketing Analytics
- Compile marketing reports and performance metrics
- Assist with campaign analysis
- Track promotional effectiveness and customer engagement
Business Development & Partnerships
- Research sponsorship opportunities and community events
- Identify prospective community partnerships
- Coordinate communication with vendors, partners, and event organizers
- Assist with partnership outreach and relationship management
Marketing Administration
- Maintain marketing calendars and project timelines
- Organize digital files, marketing materials, and branded merchandise
- Assist with vendor coordination and purchase requests
- Support departmental administrative tasks
- Participate in meetings, training sessions, and collaborative planning
Field Marketing & Community Outreach
The Field Marketing Specialist serves as an ambassador for the Budr brand by supporting community outreach initiatives throughout all current and future Budr markets.
Responsibilities include:
- Represent Budr at community events, sponsorships, grand openings, networking events, educational seminars, trade shows, and promotional activations
- Assist with event planning, setup, breakdown, logistics, and transportation of marketing materials
- Engage customers and educate them about Budr's products, loyalty program, and promotions
- Distribute approved promotional materials and branded merchandise
- Collect customer leads, loyalty enrollments, and event data
- Gather customer feedback and market insights to support future marketing initiatives
- Conduct site visits and support marketing campaigns across multiple markets
- Deliver promotional materials and marketing assets to retail locations as needed
- Build and maintain professional relationships with community organizations, vendors, and local businesses
- Support retail stores during promotions and special marketing campaigns
Event schedules and assignments are determined solely by the Director of Marketing and Community Outreach.
Employees should expect to attend an average of one (1) to two (2) marketing events per week, though event frequency may increase or decrease depending on seasonal campaigns, staffing needs, or special initiatives.
Primary field marketing focus will fall in Montville and West Hartford markets—but statewide (CT) and NY support also needed.
Work Schedule & Expectations
- Full-time salaried exempt position
- Minimum of forty (40) hours per week
- Monday through Friday schedule when not attending events
- Standard workday begins no later than 10:00 a.m. unless adjusted for scheduled events
- Evening and weekend availability is required based on marketing events and business needs
- Office-based work is expected when not attending assigned events or meetings
- Priorities and assignments may change based on organizational needs

Physical & Travel Requirements
- Reliable personal transportation required
- Valid driver's license required
- Willingness to travel throughout Connecticut, New York, and future Budr markets
- Mileage and fuel expenses are not reimbursed unless pre-approved
- Ability to lift and carry up to 25 pounds
- Ability to transport, set up, and break down event materials
- Comfortable working both indoors and outdoors for extended periods

Pay: $18.00 - $25.00 per hour
