Job Overview

We are seeking enthusiastic and dedicated Front of House Staff to join our vibrant hospitality team. In this role, you will be the welcoming face of our establishment, ensuring guests have an exceptional experience from the moment they walk through the door. Your energy, professionalism, and attention to detail will help create a warm and inviting atmosphere. This paid position offers an exciting opportunity to develop your skills in a dynamic environment, delivering outstanding customer service while supporting the smooth operation of our restaurant or catering venue.

Responsibilities

Greet guests warmly and assist with seating arrangements to ensure a positive first impression
Take and process food and beverage orders accurately using POS systems while providing knowledgeable recommendations, including wine pairing options
Serve food and drinks efficiently, maintaining high standards of presentation and cleanliness throughout service
Handle cash transactions securely and accurately, including processing payments and giving change
Maintain cleanliness of dining areas, including clearing tables, sanitizing surfaces, and ensuring overall hygiene standards are met in accordance with food safety sanitizing procedures
Support food preparation tasks as needed, including basic food handling and assisting kitchen staff during busy periods
Uphold food safety management practices by following proper handling procedures and adhering to dietary restrictions or special requests from guests

Skills

Proven experience in fine dining or hospitality environments with a focus on exceptional customer service
Knowledge of food safety sanitizing procedures and food handling regulations
Ability to operate POS systems efficiently for processing transactions
Strong communication skills for in-person customer interactions and teamwork
Experience with serving, banquet events, catering, or hospitality settings is highly desirable
Basic math skills for accurate cash handling and transaction processing
Familiarity with operating kitchen equipment or assisting in food preparation is a plus
Wine knowledge or barista experience can enhance guest experience but is not mandatory
Physical ability to handle weight in the workplace, including manual handling of supplies or equipment
Experience with cleaning routines to maintain hygiene standards in dining areas
