Full Job Description

Company Description:

AFC Urgent Care provides high-quality walk-in medical care for the treatment of acute illnesses and injuries. Our state-of-the-art centers feature digital x-rays and an on-site laboratory. We are searching for a full-time Center Administrator for our two centers in South Plainfield NJ and Aberdeen NJ . Our full-time employees are eligible for medical, dental, vision coverage, for which we pay 80% of their premiums along with 401k plan participation and paid vacation. Position Description:

The Center Administrator ("CA") is primarily responsible for maintaining all aspects of the center’s daily operations, efficiently serving patients, and directing clinical staff. The CA reports directly to the Practice Manager with regard to non-clinical issues and directly to the Medical Director with regard to clinical issues. Primary responsibilities include:

Ensuring that patients are appropriately greeted and directed through registration;
Ensuring that patient co-payments or the invoice amount (where applicable) are collected;
Interfacing with third-party billing vendor;
Collaborating with staff to make follow-up calls to patients to ensure patient satisfaction;
Managing human resources (recruiting, onboarding, training, reviews, and out-boarding);
Ensuring that all staff are appropriately skilled and competent in their areas of responsibility;
Ensuring compliance with center policies and protocols;
Ensuring adequate operational/medical supplies and managing inventories and purchasing;
Managing relationships with third-party vendors, product suppliers, and service providers;
Monitoring operational expenses and ensuring daily accounting of all cash receipts;
Reviewing and analyzing performance metrics to identify opportunities for improvement; and
Ensuring the highest standards of safety and cleanliness.

Qualifications:

Bachelor’s Degree
At least 5 years’ experience in a supervisory capacity in an established medical office
Experience managing medical billing process
Understanding of HIPAA
Exceptional patient interaction skills
Highly effective written and verbal communication skills with problem solving abilities
Strong computer/software skills
Collaborative team player with ability to work autonomously and demonstrate initiative
Highly motivated to achieve and high integrity
