Salon Assistant Co-Stylist

Are you passionate about the beauty industry and eager to learn the art of hairstyling at an upscale, high-end salon? HairSocial is looking for a dedicated a Salon Assistant to join our team! This is an incredible opportunity for cosmetology students or recent graduates who want to grow their skills and eventually work behind the chair as a stylist.

APPRENTICESHIP IS AVAILABLE FOR THOSE LOOKING TO GET THEIR LICENSE, BUT YOU MUST BE SERIOUS ABOUT MAKING HAIRSTYLING A CAREER.

At HairSocial, we believe in fostering talent, offering hands-on training, and developing the next generation of skilled stylists. If you have a positive attitude, love working with people, and are ready to learn, this could be the perfect role for you!

What You’ll Do:

Assist our experienced Hair Stylists in delivering exceptional service to our clients.
Learn cutting-edge techniques and prepare yourself for a future as a full-fledged stylist.
Provide support with various tasks, including setting up styling stations, mixing colors, and handling equipment.
Ensure the salon maintains a pristine and welcoming environment by sweeping, sanitizing surfaces, and assisting with inventory.
Greet and engage guests with a friendly, outgoing personality.
Follow all salon policies and procedures, including equipment use, hygiene, and safety standards.
Work a flexible schedule, including evenings, weekends, and holidays.
Qualifications:
Must know how to do a smooth blowdry with a round brush and use hot tools like curlers and starightners.
You must know how to give a good scalp massage.
Minimum of 1 year of experience in the beauty industry or current enrollment in a cosmetology program.
Desire to learn and grow within a premium salon environment.
Ability to work full-time, with flexibility to cover weekends and holidays.
Physical stamina to stand for long periods and lift up to 25 pounds.
Strong hand-eye coordination and attention to detail.
