Full Job Description

Alpha House is a not-for-profit organization providing residential reentry services to individuals transitioning from federal incarceration back into the community. Our mission is to support successful reentry by providing structure, accountability, individualized case management, and practical resources that help residents build stable, productive lives.

We are seeking a Case Manager who understands the challenges associated with incarceration and reentry and who is committed to working with individuals involved in the criminal justice system. This position is an excellent opportunity for someone with experience in corrections, criminal justice, residential reentry, probation/parole, substance use services, behavioral health, social services, or other settings serving justice-involved individuals.

The Case Manager is responsible for providing comprehensive case management and day-to-day support to residents participating in Alpha House's federal residential reentry program. The position involves helping residents navigate the transition from incarceration to community living while maintaining program requirements, accountability, and individualized reentry goals.

Responsibilities include intake and orientation, weekly pass approvals, medication approvals, progress reviews, program planning, documentation, crisis intervention, conflict resolution, and guidance throughout the reentry process.

This is a fast-paced, highly interactive position requiring excellent organization, sound judgment, flexibility, and the ability to effectively manage competing priorities. The successful candidate will be comfortable establishing professional relationships with individuals from diverse backgrounds, including individuals who may have complex histories, behavioral challenges, substance use concerns, or significant barriers to successful community reintegration. Experience working directly with criminal justice-involved individuals is strongly preferred.Experience navigating the reentry process and understanding the unique challenges faced by individuals returning to the community after incarceration is highly valued.

Candidates who have demonstrated the ability to build rapport while maintaining appropriate boundaries, accountability, and program expectations are especially encouraged to apply. Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in criminal justice, social work, human services, behavioral science, psychology, sociology, or a related field preferred.
At least one year of relevant professional experience is required.
Relevant work experience in criminal justice, corrections, reentry, social services, behavioral health, or human services may be substituted for the educational requirement.
Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
Ability to work independently while also functioning effectively as part of a team.
Must successfully complete required federal background screening and drug screening prior to employment.
Must be able to work in person.
One late shift per week, ending at approximately 7:00 p.m., is required.
