Overview
Join our vibrant and fast-paced coffee and sandwich shop as a Part-Time Line Cook / Prep team member! This exciting role is perfect for energetic individuals passionate about food, eager to develop culinary skills, and dedicated to delivering exceptional customer experiences. You’ll be an essential part of our kitchen team, preparing fresh ingredients, assembling delicious sandwiches, and ensuring every dish meets our high standards of quality and safety. If you thrive in a lively environment and love working with food, this opportunity is your chance to shine!

Duties

Prepare and assemble a variety of sandwiches, salads, and breakfast items with precision and care
Assist in food preparation by chopping, slicing, and portioning ingredients according to menu specifications
Maintain cleanliness and organization of the prep area and kitchen stations to ensure food safety standards are met
Follow all food handling procedures, including proper storage, sanitation, and cross-contamination prevention
Support the kitchen team during busy periods by efficiently managing multiple orders and tasks
Ensure all food is cooked to the appropriate temperature and presented attractively for customers
Assist with inventory management by rotating stock and notifying supervisors of supply needs

Requirements

Previous experience in a food service environment such as restaurants, cafes, or catering is highly preferred
Knowledge of food safety practices and proper food handling techniques
Ability to work quickly while maintaining attention to detail in a fast-paced setting
Excellent teamwork skills with a positive attitude towards assisting others
Flexibility to work part-time hours including mornings and weekends as needed
