About the Opportunity

We are looking for an experienced and detail-oriented Estimator to join our team and play an important role in developing accurate, competitive estimates for construction projects.

The Estimator will work closely with contractors, sales, purchasing, operations, and leadership to review project requirements, develop material and equipment takeoffs, analyze costs, and prepare estimates that help our customers successfully plan and execute their projects.

This is a great opportunity for a construction professional who enjoys working with numbers, solving problems, understanding project details, and building strong relationships with customers and industry partners.

What You'll Do

Review construction plans, specifications, scopes of work, and project documents.
Prepare accurate estimates, quotations, and proposals for commercial construction projects.
Perform detailed quantity and material takeoffs.
Analyze labor, material, equipment, rental, and subcontractor costs.
Solicit and evaluate pricing from vendors, subcontractors, and suppliers as needed.
Identify project requirements, exclusions, assumptions, and potential cost risks.
Work closely with sales and customers to understand project needs and develop appropriate solutions.
Collaborate with purchasing and operations to ensure pricing and product availability are accurate.
Maintain organized estimating records and project documentation.
Track material and market pricing to support accurate and competitive estimates.
Assist with value-engineering opportunities and cost-saving alternatives.
Meet established estimating and proposal deadlines.
Build and maintain strong relationships with contractors, vendors, suppliers, and internal team members.
Stay current on construction materials, equipment, industry trends, and market conditions.
Contribute to improving estimating processes, tools, and best practices.

What We're Looking For

2+ years of construction estimating experience preferred.
Commercial construction experience strongly preferred.
Strong understanding of construction materials, equipment, and methods.
Ability to read and interpret construction plans and specifications.
Experience with material takeoffs and cost estimating.
Strong mathematical and analytical skills.
Excellent attention to detail and accuracy.
Strong organizational and time-management skills.
Ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines.
Excellent communication and customer-service skills.
Ability to work independently while collaborating effectively with a team.
Proficiency with Microsoft Office and construction estimating software.
Experience with ASA and CAD software
