Full Job Description

We’re looking for a friendly and reliable Front Desk Agent to join our team in St. Louis, MO. This role is a good fit for someone who enjoys meeting people, answering questions, and keeping things organized throughout the day.

You’ll be the first person many guests see when they arrive, so being welcoming, professional, and helpful is important. You’ll also work closely with other team members to make sure guests get the assistance they need.

Your Day-to-Day

The role is varied, but your main responsibilities will include:

Welcoming guests and visitors as they arrive
Handling check-ins and check-outs
Confirming reservations and updating guest information
Answering phone calls and responding to general questions
Helping guests with requests, directions, and basic concerns
Processing payments and handling front desk transactions
Responding to emails and completing simple administrative tasks
Keeping the reception and front desk area neat and presentable
Communicating with housekeeping, maintenance, and other departments
Passing more complicated guest concerns to a supervisor when needed
Following company procedures and protecting guest information

The Hours

Front desk coverage is needed throughout the day, so there are several shift options. Typical schedules may include:

7:00 AM – 3:30 PM
3:00 PM – 11:30 PM
11:00 PM – 7:30 AM

Weekend and holiday availability is required. Schedules are provided ahead of time, and weekend shifts are rotated among the team.

What Makes Someone a Good Fit

You don't need to have years of front desk experience. We're mainly looking for someone who is dependable, comfortable talking with people, and willing to learn.

You should be able to:

Communicate clearly and professionally
Stay friendly and patient when things get busy
Handle several tasks without losing track of details
Use a computer and learn new systems
Work comfortably with guests from different backgrounds
Deal with routine questions and concerns calmly
Work well with coworkers
Arrive on time and be dependable

Experience in a hotel, reception, hospitality, retail, or customer service environment is helpful. Previous experience as a Front Desk Agent, Receptionist, Guest Services Representative, Front Desk Associate, or Customer Service Representative is a plus, but training is provided.
