Our mission is to help clinical teams achieve lasting improvements in both their clinical processes and patient satisfaction by creating an ongoing clinical team engagement. Primary Systems is headquartered in St. Louis, Missouri and has customers throughout North America.

Position Summary

Primary Systems, Inc is looking for an Accounting Manager to manage the monthly accounting cycle of our company. As an Accounting Manager, you’ll help close the books, reconcile balance sheet accounts, and provide analytical support to the CFO. To be successful in this role, you should have in-depth knowledge of GAAP and experience with risk management.

This position requires strong accounting and data management skills to help ensure timely and accurate financial reporting. Experience in construction accounting and labor unions is a plus.

Essential Duties & Responsibilities

Manage all financial and accounting aspects of the company
Ensure all payment transactions are completed on time (including accounts payable and bank deposits)
Assist in the annual budget process
Analyze costs and profits
Track financial KPIs
Generate monthly financials, as well as ad-hoc reports on an as-needed basis
Evaluate and make appropriate improvements to internal accounting processes
Perform other accounting duties as assigned

Document procedures, problems/solutions, explanations, descriptions, status updates, etc.

Develop and maintain relationships with employees at all locations
Communicate courteously and professionally with co-workers, management, clients, and others
Conform with and abide by all regulations, policies, work procedures, and instructions
Conduct activities in a safe and healthy manner and work per established safety and company requirements
Conform with all safety rules and use all appropriate safety equipment
Perform other duties as assigned

Knowledge, Skills, Education, Experience

Work experience as an Accounting Manager or similar role
BS or MS in Accounting
Thorough knowledge of accounting principles, procedures
Hands-on experience with general ledger, accounts payable, accounts receivable, inventory
Good knowledge of accounting software
Must be trustworthy and able to maintain confidential information
Excellent problem-solving
Excellent communication; both oral and written
Exceptional attention to detail
Excellent organization, planning, and time management; must be able to work with tight deadlines
Ability to effectively learn and acquire new knowledge and skills
Excellent computer skills and in-depth knowledge of Microsoft Windows-based programs
