Job Summary

We are seeking a motivated and energetic Dishwasher/Food Prep team member to join our dynamic culinary environment. In this vital role, you will be responsible for maintaining a clean and organized kitchen by efficiently washing dishes, utensils, and kitchen equipment. Additionally, you will assist with food preparation tasks, supporting the culinary team in delivering high-quality meals. Your enthusiasm and attention to safety standards will help ensure a smooth operation that delights our guests and upholds our commitment to food safety and excellence.

Responsibilities

Thoroughly wash dishes, cookware, utensils, and kitchen tools using proper cleaning techniques to meet safety standards in production.
Assist with basic food preparation tasks such as slicing, chopping, and ingredient assembly following established recipes and procedures.
Maintain cleanliness of the kitchen area by sanitizing work surfaces, sinks, and storage areas regularly.
Support the culinary team in meal preparation and plating to ensure timely service during busy periods.
Follow food handling protocols and safety standards in accordance with health regulations to prevent contamination.
Organize and store clean dishes and kitchen supplies efficiently for easy access during service.
Assist with inventory management by monitoring supplies and notifying supervisors of stock needs or shortages.

Requirements

Previous experience in a dietary department or dietary aide role is preferred but not required; willingness to learn is essential.
Experience in food service, restaurant, or kitchen environments demonstrating familiarity with food handling and safety practices.
Knowledge of menu planning, food preparation techniques, including slicing and knife skills, is advantageous.
Ability to follow safety standards in production environments and adhere to food safety management protocols.
Strong attention to detail with excellent organizational skills to maintain cleanliness and efficiency in the kitchen.
Ability to work effectively as part of a team in fast-paced settings while maintaining a positive attitude.
Basic understanding of catering, serving, and food industry operations is a plus.
