The Public Space Attendant is responsible for maintaining high standards in all assigned lobby areas, public restrooms, special cleaning assignments and performing Room Attendant duties, as necessary.

Education & Experience:
â€¢ High School diploma or equivalent and/or experience in a hotel or a related field preferred.
â€¢ Must have a valid driverâ€™s license for the applicable state (property specific).

Physical Requirements:
â€¢ Flexible and long hours sometimes required.
â€¢ Medium work â€“ Exerting up to 50 pounds of force occasionally, and/or 20 pounds of force frequently or up to 20 pounds of force constantly to lift, carry, push, pull or otherwise move objects.
â€¢ Ability to stand during entire shift.

Mental Requirements:
â€¢ Must be able to convey information and ideas clearly.
â€¢ Must be able to evaluate and select among alternative courses of action quickly and accurately.
â€¢ Must work well in stressful, high-pressure situations.
â€¢ Must maintain composure and objectivity under pressure.
DUTIES & FUNCTIONS

Essential:
â€¢ Approach all encounters with guests and employees in a friendly, service-oriented manner.
â€¢ Maintain regular attendance in compliance with Everwood Hospitality Service standards, as required by scheduling, which will vary according to the needs of the hotel.
â€¢ Maintain high standards of personal appearance and grooming, which include wearing the proper uniform and nametag when working.
â€¢ Always comply with Everwood Hospitality Service standards and regulations to encourage safe and efficient hotel operations.
â€¢ Always maintain a warm and friendly demeanor.
â€¢ Employees must always attentive, friendly, helpful and courteous to all guests, managers and fellow employees.
â€¢ Use proper two-way radio etiquette when communicating with other employees.
â€¢ Practice safe work habits to ensure safety to guests, fellow employees, and self.
â€¢ Handle items for â€œLost and Foundâ€ according to the hotel standards.
â€¢ At the end of the shift, turn in all keys and assignment sheets to the Housekeeping Office.
â€¢ Report maintenance issues to Housekeeping Supervisor/Manager.
â€¢ Be familiar with correct guestroom cleaning procedures to assist if needed.
â€¢ Deliver any clean linen to assigned sections, if necessary.
â€¢ Pick up Room Attendantâ€™s dirty linen or trash as needed.
â€¢ Before leaving, collect all trash from the service landings and take to/dispose in outside trash dumpsters, per hotel procedures.
â€¢ Vacuum guest corridors.
â€¢ Keep hallways, public areas and closets neat and organized.
â€¢ Maintain cleanliness and sanitation in public restrooms.
â€¢ Adhere to the schedule for project cleaning of public areas.
â€¢ Maintain the stairwells to hotel standards.
â€¢ Keep ash urn clean and filled with sand.
