Full Job Description

Position Title: Advanced Prostate Cancer Coordinator

Reports to: In Office Dispensary (IOD) Supervisor

Job Status: Full-Time

FLSA Status: Non-Exempt

Positions Supervised: None

Position Summary: The Advanced Prostate Cancer (APC) Coordinator will work collaboratively with the Urology of St. Louis (USL) team to assess, plan, facilitate, track, and monitor patients with prostate cancer.

Essential Functions: To accomplish this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform, with or without reasonable accommodation, each essential function satisfactorily. Reasonable accommodation may be made to help enable qualified individuals with disabilities to perform the essential functions.

· Serve as patient coordinator for prostate cancer patients

· Serve as an essential link between patients and all other care providers

· Work with data analytics program to mine data from EMR and ensure adherence to appropriate pathways and follow up (Orgovyx)

· Identify benefits and coordinate resources based upon patient’s needs, insurance coverage, and community programs

· Obtain authorizations, appeals, and facilitate peer-to-peer reviews for patients and providers as needed

· Maintain professional relationships with pharmaceutical representatives, and other outside resources

· Support Prostate Cancer Navigator in daily operations of department

· Other duties as assigned

Education and Experience:

· Associate or bachelor’s degree in business or other related field with a minimum of 1 year’s healthcare experience, preferably in urology/prostate focus

· Patient navigation experience desired
