Full Job Description

About us

A boutique CPA firm located in downtown St. Charles has an immediate opening for a Staff/Tax Accountant. The right candidate will enjoy working in a small office environment while gaining valuable experience from being exposed to a wide variety of tasks and diverse clientele.

Responsibilities

· Individual and business tax return preparation

· Periodic and year-end accounting services for a variety of business clients

· Payroll, sales, and other miscellaneous tax services

· Maintain a close relationship with clients and promote the firm’s mission of being a trusted business advisor

Minimum Qualifications

· Public accounting experience minimum 3-4 years

· Associate degree or higher in accounting or a related field

· Experience with individual and business income tax return preparation

· Experience with general ledger analysis, account reconciliations, and preparation of periodic/closing journal entries

· Proficiency in QuickBooks accounting software, CCH Axcess or similar tax software, and MS Excel

· An outgoing personality, and a "will do" attitude
