About the Company

We are currently seeking a detail-oriented and highly organized Accounts Payable Specialist to join our internal accounting team at our Clayton office. The specialist will primarily be responsible for managing accounts receivable but will also have the opportunity to assist with other accounting and financial tasks as needed. This is a full-time, in-office position offering a dynamic work environment, room for growth, and a chance to make a meaningful impact on our organization.

Responsibilities:

Create invoices according to company practices; submit invoices to customers
Maintains and updates customer files, including name or address changes, mergers, or mailing attentions
Draft correspondence for standard past-due accounts and collections, identify delinquent accounts by reviewing files, and contact delinquent accountholders to request payment
Create reports regarding the status of customer accounts as requested
Research into customer discrepancies and past-due amounts with the assistance of the Finance Manager and other staff
Collaborate with the Finance Manager to reconcile accounts receivable on a periodic basis
Assists in generating monthly billing statements based on the general ledger
Assists Finance Manager in reconciling revenue accounts each month

Qualifications:

Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Accounting preferred
At least two years of related experience required
Excellent verbal and written communication skills
Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and accounting software programs
Ability to work independently and in a fast-paced environment
Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail
