Full Job Description

Job Overview:

The primary role of the Baker position is to consistently produce fresh, high-quality doughnuts quickly and efficiently in order to provide our guests with high-quality service and products in a team environment. The shop provides a variety of baked goods for daily retail, catering, and special event sales.

Please note that the approximate hours of this role are 12 am to 9 am (although starting earlier and finishing earlier are acceptable).

Retail Sales and Catering pickup begin at 6 am.

Responsibilities & Duties:

Mix, roll & cut high-quality yeast doughnuts quickly, efficiently, and consistently with accurate size & shape
Mix, roll & cut high-quality cake doughnuts quickly, efficiently, and consistently that are accurate in size & shape, according to Daylight Standards
Fry all doughnuts using the right oil temperature and timing for each specific doughnut
Identify undercooked, misshaped, and undersized doughnuts
Open & close your station according to health and company standards
Maintain a clean working station and equipment with a “clean as you go” motto
Communicate effectively with your teammates to promote safety and to achieve our mission of serving fresh doughnuts
Support the FOH Team by keeping our display racks full for our guest’s view, taste, and purchase
Maintain a welcoming and friendly work environment for all guests and teammates

Ability to work quickly and efficiently
Follow Health Code Standards & Procedures

Attend scheduled team meetings
Qualifications:
- A High School degree is required
- Kitchen and//or Baking experience preferred
- Military Food Service MOS preferred but not required
- Must be at least 18 years of age
- Quick Learner and able to multi-task, paying attention to detail
- Coachable, positive, and driven. Willing and able to work within a team to achieve the same purpose
- Demonstrates a strong work ethic, wants to grow & develop, and takes initiative
- Flexible to do many different jobs in the kitchen in different roles as needed
- Current Food Handlers Certification required
- Must be willing and able to stand for extended hours. Willing to work overtime if and when necessary
- Available on the weekends and holidays
- Able to lift up to 50lbs
- Effective communication skills: verbal, written, and listening
