Overview
We are seeking a detail-oriented and proactive Assistant Project Manager / Estimator to join our construction team. This role offers an exciting opportunity to contribute to diverse projects by supporting project planning, estimating, and coordination efforts. The ideal candidate will possess strong technical skills, construction knowledge, and the ability to manage multiple tasks efficiently within a fast-paced environment. This position is paid and suitable for individuals eager to develop their career in construction management and estimating.

Duties

Assist in preparing accurate project estimates using construction estimating software and industry-standard tools such as Bluebeam.
Support project managers in developing project schedules utilizing Microsoft Project and other project management software.
Read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and contracts to ensure project scope aligns with client requirements.
Coordinate with subcontractors, suppliers, and internal teams to facilitate smooth project execution.
Contribute to project planning by assisting with site logistics, resource allocation, and timeline management.
Maintain detailed documentation of project activities, change orders, and cost tracking.
Support on-site activities with construction site experience to ensure adherence to safety standards and project specifications.
Assist in preparing proposals, bid packages, and supporting documentation for new projects.
Collaborate with the project team on contract negotiations, scope changes, and schedule adjustments.

Skills

Proficiency in construction management software such as Microsoft Project, Bluebeam, Autodesk, and other relevant tools.
Strong understanding of construction estimating processes and techniques.
Experience with project scheduling, project management, and construction site coordination.
Ability to read blueprints, schematics, and technical drawings effectively.
Knowledge of contracts, construction management principles, and site safety protocols.
Excellent time management skills with the ability to prioritize tasks efficiently.
Strong communication skills for effective collaboration across teams and stakeholders.
Familiarity with construction site experience is preferred but not mandatory; a proactive attitude towards learning is essential. This role provides an excellent platform for professionals aspiring to grow within the construction industry by gaining hands-on experience in project estimation and management while working on diverse projects that challenge their skills daily.

Pay: $60,000.00 - $75,000.00 per year
