Full Job Description

Job Summary
We are seeking an experienced, organized, and motivated Staffing Coordinator / Recruiter to join our management team at our Nursing and Rehabilitation faiclity. This role serves as the primary point of contact for staffing operations, ensuring adequate coverage, coordinating employee schedules, supporting recruitment and onboarding, and maintaining compliance with facility, state, and federal requirements.

Key Responsibilities

Create and maintain schedules for nursing staff.
Ensure staffing levels meet state, federal, and facility-specific regulatory requirements.
Coordinate schedule changes, call-outs, Time off requests, overtime, agency staffing, and shift coverage.
Track employee availability
Communicate schedules and staffing updates effectively with employees, supervisors, and nursing leadership.
Collaborate with Nursing Administration to proactively address staffing shortages and coverage gaps.

Recruitment & Onboarding

Lead recruitment efforts, including candidate outreach and interview coordination.
Facilitate onboarding by scheduling orientations, training sessions, and required in-services.
Prepare, review, and audit new-hire documentation and onboarding checklists.
Serve as a primary point of contact for new employees during their onboarding period.

Qualifications

High school diploma or equivalent required; Associate degree preferred.
Minimum of 1–2 years of scheduling experience in a nursing home, long-term care, or healthcare setting.
Knowledge of healthcare staffing ratios and long-term care regulations preferred.
Proficiency with scheduling software, HRIS systems, and Microsoft Office applications.
Strong organizational, multitasking, communication, and problem-solving skills.
Ability to manage confidential information with discretion.
Flexible availability, including occasional evenings and weekends as needed.
Ability to perform effectively and respectfully in a fast-paced and sometimes stressful environment.

Preferred Qualifications

Experience scheduling in a 24/7 healthcare environment.
Understanding of CMS and state staffing requirements.
