Position Title: Accounts Receivable Manager

Location: Long Beach, CA (On-Site)

Assignment Type: Permanent Hire

Compensation: $80,000 - $90,000 annually

Work Schedule: Monday - Friday, 9:00 AM - 5:00 PM

Job Description

We are seeking an experienced Accounts Receivable Manager to lead the day-to-day operations of a high-volume accounts receivable function while driving process improvements and mentoring a small team. This is an excellent opportunity for a hands-on leader who enjoys improving workflows, building strong cross-functional relationships, and ensuring accurate and timely collections.

The ideal candidate will have a strong background in accounts receivable management, supervisory experience, and a passion for developing efficient processes that support organizational growth.

Key Responsibilities

Manage daily accounts receivable operations, ensuring timely collections, accurate cash application, and strong internal controls.
Lead process improvement initiatives to streamline the accounts receivable cycle, reduce manual processes, and increase operational efficiency.
Build and maintain positive relationships with customers to support timely payment and resolve billing or collection issues.
Partner with internal departments to investigate and resolve customer disputes and payment discrepancies.
Prepare and maintain weekly cash flow forecasts and provide reporting that supports financial planning and business decisions.
Monitor aging reports, collection performance, and key accounts receivable metrics, identifying trends and recommending corrective actions.
Supervise, mentor, and develop an accounts receivable team member through coaching, training, and performance management.
Ensure departmental procedures are documented and cross-training is maintained to support business continuity.
Support month-end close activities and maintain compliance with company policies and accounting best practices.

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Business, or a related field preferred.
Minimum of 5 years of progressive accounts receivable experience.
At least 2 years of supervisory or team leadership experience.
Experience working in a high-volume, multi-entity environment.
Strong Microsoft Excel skills, including reporting and data analysis.
Experience with ERP systems.
Excellent analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
Strong communication skills with the ability to collaborate across multiple departments.
Ability to prioritize multiple deadlines while maintaining exceptional attention to detail.
