ABOUT BURGER BOSS

Burger Boss is a fast-casual smash burger concept with two Orange County locations. We use grass-finished Australian beef, cook in rice bran oil rather than seed oils, and hold Halal certification on our beef patties, grilled chicken breast, and turkey bacon. We are building the systems, standards, and bench strength to grow well beyond two units. The Tustin General Manager is central to that.

THE ROLE

This is a business-owner role, not a shift-cover role. You will run Tustin as your own P&L: growing sales, protecting margin, and building a team that runs great shifts whether or not you are standing there. You will spend real time on the floor, because that is where the business is won — coaching, expediting through peak, talking to guests. But you are measured on sales, profit, and people, not on personally cooking every ticket.

WHAT YOU OWN

Sales growth. Trade-area sales at the store level — local store marketing, community and school partnerships, catering capture, and delivery channel performance on DoorDash and Uber Eats.
Four-wall profit. Food cost, labor cost, waste, and controllables. You build the schedule, place the orders, and answer for the numbers.
Team. Hire, train, and develop your assistant manager and shift leads. Build a bench deep enough that the store holds standard on your days off.
Guest experience. Google, Yelp, and delivery platform ratings; order accuracy; speed of service; resolving problems in the moment rather than after the review posts.
Food safety and brand standards. Non-negotiable. This includes item-level accuracy on Halal claims — our beef patties, grilled chicken breast, and turkey bacon are certified; our crispy chicken is not. Every team member must be able to state that correctly to a guest.

WHAT WE ARE LOOKING FOR

3+ years running a restaurant as a General Manager or equivalent, ideally QSR or fast casual. Depth of single-unit ownership matters more to us than a multi-unit title.
A specific example of growing sales at a unit you personally ran — what you did, and what it moved. We will ask.
Real P&L fluency. You should be able to walk us through how you would attack a food cost variance, step by step.
Comfort with restaurant technology. We run Toast POS, Toast xtraCHEF for inventory, and self-order kiosks. Prior Toast experience is a plus; adaptability matters more.
California wage-and-hour discipline. Meal and rest break compliance, and scheduling that controls overtime before it happens.
ServSafe Manager certification, or willingness to obtain it within 60 days of hire.
Availability across nights, weekends, and peak periods.

Burger experience is a plus, not a requirement.

COMPENSATION AND BENEFITS

Base salary: $75,000 – $85,000 per year, depending on demonstrated experience.
Quarterly performance bonus targeting 20–25% of base, weighted toward four-wall profit and sales growth, with a food safety gate.
