Full Job Description

Job Overview

We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Bookkeeper, AR and AP Specialist to join our dynamic team. In this role, you will be responsible for managing accounts receivable and accounts payable processes, ensuring accurate recording of financial transactions, and maintaining the integrity of our financial records. Your expertise in various accounting software and systems will help support our organization’s financial health. Duties

Manage accounts receivable processes, including invoicing, collections, and customer account reconciliation
Oversee accounts payable functions such as processing vendor invoices, issuing payments, and maintaining vendor records
Perform bank reconciliations and general ledger account analysis to ensure accuracy of financial data
Prepare journal entries for various accounting transactions, including double-entry bookkeeping practices
Utilize financial software such as QuickBooks and monitor financial activities
Conduct balance sheet reconciliations regularly to verify asset and liability accuracy
Assist with payroll processing and ensure compliance with relevant tax regulations and governmental accounting standards
Generate detailed financial reports, including accounts receivable/payable aging reports and other management summaries
Must be able to multi task and keep consistency in financials from one team to another seamlessly.
Create monthly billing for projects to include AIA documents, retainage billings etc.

Skills

Proficiency in accounting software and QuickBooks.
Strong understanding of GAAP (Generally Accepted Accounting Principles) and technical accounting concepts
Experience with corporate accounting, or governmental accounting environments preferred
Knowledge of payroll processing procedures and tax regulations related to payroll and employee benefits
Ability to perform account reconciliation, bank reconciliation, and general ledger reconciliation accurately
Skilled in journal entry creation, account analysis, budgeting support, and financial report writing
Excellent attention to detail with strong organizational skills; capable of handling multiple tasks efficiently
Familiarity with QuickBooks and a full understanding of accounting is a must.
