Courier- Part Time | Stephenville, TX

Location: Stephenville, TX
Pay: $15.00 per hour
Schedule: Part-Time | Flexible Schedule | Facility Operates 7 Days a Week

About the Role

Mérieux NutriSciences is looking for a dependable Part-Time Courier to support our laboratory operations in the Stephenville, TX area.

In this role, you will travel to local dairy facilities to pick up milk samples and safely transport them for laboratory testing. This is a great opportunity for someone who enjoys being on the road, working independently, and providing reliable service to customers.

Because our operations run 7 days a week, 365 days a year, candidates must have flexibility to adjust their schedule as business needs change. Routes may involve extended periods of driving, potentially up to 12 hours at a time.

What You'll Do

Safely drive to dairy facilities and other client locations to pick up samples
Transport samples to the designated laboratory while maintaining sample integrity
Monitor samples to ensure required temperatures are maintained during transport
Provide friendly, professional service when interacting with clients
Follow established routes, pickup schedules, safety requirements, and Standard Operating Procedures
Maintain accurate mileage, vehicle maintenance, and transportation records
Keep the assigned vehicle clean and report maintenance needs
Communicate delays, client concerns, or changes in pickup requirements to the laboratory
Adapt to route or schedule changes that may occur with limited notice
Assist with laboratory errands or basic laboratory support tasks as needed
Follow all company quality, safety, and continuous improvement procedures
Perform other related duties as assigned

What We're Looking For

High school diploma, GED, or equivalent relevant work experience
Valid driver's license and ability to safely operate a motor vehicle
Safe and stable driving record that meets company insurance requirements
Comfortable driving for extended periods and in varying weather conditions
Ability to work a flexible schedule based on operational needs
Strong time management and reliability
Professional and courteous communication skills
Ability to work independently and manage scheduled pickups
Ability to lift and transport sample loads weighing up to 50 lbs.
Previous courier, delivery, transportation, or route-driving experience is preferred, but not required
Familiarity with the Stephenville and surrounding area is a plus

Physical & Work Requirements

This position involves spending extended periods sitting and driving in a delivery vehicle. Candidates must be able to lift sample loads weighing up to 50 lbs. and work in varying weather and environmental conditions.

Occasional work inside a laboratory may be required. Depending on the task, personal protective equipment such as a laboratory coat, gloves, or mask may be required.

Compensation

$15.00 per hour
