Full Job Description

Overview
Join our dedicated healthcare team as a Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA), where your compassionate care and technical skills will make a meaningful difference in patients’ lives. In this vital role, you will provide hands-on assistance with daily living activities, monitor patient health, and support medical teams across various healthcare settings. Duties

Assist patients with activities of daily living such as bathing, dressing, grooming, and mobility using tools like Hoyer lifts and other assistive devices.
Monitor and record vital signs, including blood pressure, temperature, pulse, and respiration rates, accurately documenting all patient information in electronic health record (EHR) systems like Epic or Cerner.
Support medical teams by preparing patients for procedures, assisting with medication administration under supervision, and maintaining aseptic techniques during clinical tasks.
Provide specialized care for patients with dementia or Alzheimer’s disease, including memory care strategies and behavioral health support.
Assist in post-acute care settings such as rehabilitation or sub-acute facilities, ensuring smooth transitions and continuity of care for long-term or short-term patients.
Maintain infection control standards by practicing HIPAA compliance, proper medical documentation, and adhering to safety protocols in high-acuity environments like Level I Trauma Centers or ICU units.
Collaborate effectively with multidisciplinary teams in outpatient clinics, home & community care programs, or inpatient hospital units to deliver patient-centered service.

Requirements

Valid CNA certification with current state licensure to practice as a Certified Nursing Assistant.
Experience working with diverse populations including seniors, children, individuals with developmental disabilities or behavioral health needs.
Knowledge of medical terminology, anatomy, physiology, and basic life support (BLS) certification.
Prior experience in healthcare environments such as hospitals (including ICU or emergency medicine), nursing homes, assisted living facilities, or hospice care is highly desirable.
Familiarity with electronic medical records (EMR) systems such as Epic, Cerner, eClinicalWorks or similar platforms for accurate documentation.
Ability to perform physically demanding tasks including lifting with Hoyer lifts and assisting patients with mobility challenges.
Strong communication skills coupled with a compassionate attitude to provide excellent patient service while maintaining confidentiality per HIPAA regulations.
