Full Job Description

ECC Corrosion, Inc. located in Wisconsin Rapids, Wisconsin, is a growing composites manufacturer serving the mining, pulp and paper, environmental compliance, food, chemical and petrochemical, water and waste water treatment, transportation and power generation industries. We seek a highly motivated individual with maintenance experience and strong communication skills to join our team.

Responsibilities include planning and conducting repair and preventative maintenance services for the building/facility and production equipment/machinery, including building HVAC and lighting systems, winding and spray equipment, mobile and overhead cranes, lifts, power tools, and building grounds. This position may also assist in the fabrication of production molds.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES The essential duties and responsibilities of this position include the following:

1. Developing and maintaining a preventative maintenance schedule for all Company machinery and equipment and performing scheduled maintenance.

2. Inspecting, troubleshooting, repairing or coordinating the repair of and maintaining facility systems.

3. Diagnosing problems, repairing and replacing parts, and testing machinery and equipment for proper and safe operation.

4. Exercising skill and good judgment in performing repairs and maintenance of mechanical, electrical, pneumatic, hydraulic and other systems and equipment.

5. Using a variety of power and hand tools, precision measuring and test equipment, and hoists, cranes and material handling equipment in performing daily tasks.

6. Performing and/or overseeing grounds keeping services including but not limited to snow removal, lawn care and trash disposal.

7. Preparing and maintaining appropriate inspection, test and repair/replacement records and reports and summarizing information and trends.

8. Maintaining equipment, parts and supplies inventories by checking stock levels and placing and expediting orders as and when appropriate.

9. Obtaining estimates for supplies, parts and services and managing appropriate contractor support as needed to ensure proper and safe repair and maintenance of facility systems, production machinery and equipment, and vehicles.

10. Supervising and directing other personnel assisting with the repair of facility systems, production machinery and equipment.

11. Maintaining a safe and clean work environment and complying with all applicable OSHA and Company safety rules, policies and procedures.

12. Maintaining technical knowledge by attending educational workshops and reviewing technical publications.

13. Performing other duties as assigned.

Education and/or Experience: Requires a high school diploma or GED equivalent and a minimum of five years of experience in building and mechanical equipment maintenance and repair or an acceptable equivalent combination of education and experience. Welding and material handling equipment experience required. An associate's degree in mechanical, electrical or industrial maintenance is a plus.

Skills and Abilities: Ability to troubleshoot and repair facility systems and equipment with limited supervision. Able to rely on experience and good judgment to plan and accomplish duties and goals; able to perform a variety of complex tasks; able to lead and direct the work of others; able to use a variety of power and hand tools and equipment; able to write reports, business correspondence, and procedure manuals; able to effectively present information and respond to questions from groups of managers and employees; must be detail oriented and have excellent organizational, analytical and communication skills; able to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals; able to compute rate, ratio, and percent and to draw and interpret graphs; able to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations where only limited standardization exists; able to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form; must have knowledge of word processing, power point and spreadsheet software.

Physical Demands and Work Environment: The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this position. The employee frequently is required to stand and use hands to finger, handle, or feel. The employee may be required to walk for periods throughout the day; reach with hands and arms; climb or balance; stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl; and talk or hear. The employee must occasionally lift and/or move up to 50 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, color vision, peripheral vision, and ability to adjust focus. The performance of this position requires the use of personal protective equipment such as safety glasses with side shields, mandatory hearing protection, respiratory protection, work boots and hard hats. While performing the duties of this job, the employee is frequently exposed to moving mechanical parts. The employee is occasionally exposed to wet and/or humid conditions; high, precarious places; fumes or airborne particles; toxic or caustic chemicals; and risk of electrical shock. The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate to occasionally loud. Employee must be able to work inside and outside in both hot and cold environments. Employee must be able to travel to other locations on short notice and work during non-business hours from time to time.

Certificates, Licenses, Registrations: A valid driver's license is required for this position.
