Full Job Description

Position Overview

We are seeking an experienced Pediatric Registered Nurse (RN) to support a home-based clinical research study. This position involves conducting scheduled in-home visits, performing nursing assessments, collecting study samples, and ensuring accurate study documentation in accordance with the clinical trial protocol.

We are looking for both a Primary RN and a Backup RN for this assignment. Spanish-speaking candidates are strongly preferred. Full fluency is not required; however, the ability to comfortably communicate with the patient and family in Spanish during visits is highly desirable.

Responsibilities

Conduct scheduled in-home clinical research visits every three weeks.
Perform comprehensive nursing assessments and monitor for changes in the patient's health status.
Review current medications and assess for adverse events or changes in condition.
Obtain and document vital signs.
Perform venipuncture for blood sample collection, processing, and shipment according to study protocol.
Collect, process, and prepare urine specimens.
Review eDiary compliance with the patient and caregiver.
Assess and document signs and symptoms as required by the study protocol.
Complete accurate source documentation and study-related paperwork.
Maintain compliance with study protocols, GCP guidelines, and applicable regulations.
Communicate with the study team regarding patient status, visit completion, and any protocol-related concerns.

Qualifications

Active Registered Nurse (RN) license in the State of Florida.
Pediatric nursing experience required.
Experience performing pediatric venipuncture and specimen collection.
Strong assessment and documentation skills.
Previous clinical research experience is an asset but not required.
Comfortable working independently in a home care setting.
Excellent communication and organizational skills.
BLS Certification required.
Spanish language skills are strongly preferred.

Visit Details

Patient: Pediatric (10 years old)
Visit Frequency: Every 3 weeks
Visit Duration: Approximately 2.5 hours
Travel Time: Approximately 2.5 hours
Location: Port St. Lucie, Florida
Assignment: Primary RN and Backup RN required

Urine collection and processing
eDiary compliance review
Assessment of signs and symptoms
Completion of study source documentation

Pay: $70.00 - $85.00 per hour
