About the Role

AlderVolt Power is seeking a reliable and detail-oriented Accountant to support the company’s day-to-day accounting and financial operations in Houston.

This role will work closely with management and other internal teams to maintain accurate financial records, manage invoices and payments, support month-end activities, and help ensure proper accounting documentation and internal controls.

Key Responsibilities

Manage accounts payable and accounts receivable.
Prepare, review, and track customer invoices and vendor bills.
Record and reconcile bank, credit card, and other financial transactions.
Track customer payments, vendor payments, expenses, and outstanding balances.
Maintain accurate accounting records and supporting documentation.
Assist with monthly closing and preparation of internal financial reports.
Support cash flow tracking, expense reporting, and basic financial analysis.
Maintain organized records for tax, audit, and compliance purposes.
Coordinate with management, customers, vendors, banks, and external accounting or tax professionals as needed.
Assist with payroll-related accounting and employee expense reimbursement.
Help improve accounting procedures and internal financial controls as the company grows.
Perform other accounting and administrative duties as needed.

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Business, or a related field preferred.
Previous accounting, bookkeeping, or finance experience preferred.
Strong attention to detail and numerical accuracy.
Good organizational and time-management skills.
Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and general office software.
Experience with QuickBooks or similar accounting software is preferred.
Ability to handle confidential financial information professionally.
Strong communication and follow-up skills.
Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities.
Strong written and verbal English communication skills.
Chinese/English bilingual ability is a plus, but not required.
CPA is not required.
Strong recent graduates with relevant accounting education or internship experience are welcome to apply.
