Job Summary: The Accounts Payable Clerk is responsible for receiving, matching, and processing incoming invoices and maintaining accurate records on behalf of the Accounting department.

Reports To: Controller

Essential Functions:

Matches invoices to receiving reports
Ensures that all monthly expense invoices are received prior to month end
Codes and process invoices, ensuring accuracy proper approvals
Resolves payment discrepancies with vendors
Processes daily check runs
Files checks and related backup
Performs data entry and administrative duties

Requirements:

At least 1 year of experience in an administrative position
Excellent computer skills, experienced PC user
Types approximately 25-30 words per minute
10-key by touch
Reading, writing, and communication skills in English

Education & Qualifications:

1 year of experience in an Accounts Payable position is preferred
Excellent communication skills
Attention to detail and strong organizational skills

Supervisory Responsibility: None.

Work Environment:

This position operates in a professional office environment. This role routinely uses standard office equipment such as computers, phones, photocopiers, tablets and other office equipment.

Physical Demands:

The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job. While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to talk and/or hear. The employee frequently is required to stand, walk, use hands and fingers, handle or feel, and reach with hands and arms.

Position Type / Expected Hours of Work:

This position requires at least 40 hours per week as a part of standard business schedule.
