Full Job Description

About the Opportunity

Good Harbor Group is conducting a confidential search on behalf of a rapidly growing, innovation driven biopharmaceutical organization focused on developing therapies for patients with serious and difficult-to-treat diseases. This organization has built a robust clinical pipeline across multiple therapeutic areas and continues to expand its development programs through significant investments in research, clinical operations, and regulatory strategy.

We are seeking an experienced Senior Manager, Biostatistics to play a key leadership role within the clinical development organization. This individual will oversee the statistical execution of clinical programs while collaborating across clinical development, regulatory affairs, manufacturing, data management, statistical programming, and commercial functions.

The ideal candidate will combine strong technical expertise in biostatistics with demonstrated experience managing external partners, leading complex analyses, and supporting regulatory submissions in a highly regulated environment.

This is a hybrid position requiring approximately three days per week on-site in the Bay Area.

Position Responsibilities

Lead the statistical strategy and execution of clinical development programs across multiple studies and therapeutic areas
Partner with cross-functional teams, including Clinical Development, Regulatory Affairs, Manufacturing, Statistical Programming, and Commercial organizations
Provide statistical leadership during the design, planning, execution, analysis, and reporting phases of clinical trials
Oversee contract research organizations (CROs), external statisticians, and statistical programming vendors
Ensure the timely delivery of high-quality statistical analyses and study results
Review, validate, and interpret statistical outputs generated by external partners
Collaborate with statistical programming teams to develop analyses for internal reviews, scientific presentations, publications, and regulatory submissions
Evaluate CDISC-compliant electronic data packages for completeness, regulatory compliance, and submission readiness
Monitor evolving regulatory expectations related to statistical methodologies and clinical trial analyses
Support internal audit activities related to statistical processes and vendor compliance
Participate in the development, implementation, and maintenance of biostatistical standards and standard operating procedures (SOPs)
Contribute to statistical governance initiatives and continuous process improvement efforts

Required Qualifications

Master's degree or Ph.D. in Statistics, Biostatistics, Mathematics, or a related quantitative discipline
Minimum of two years of direct experience supporting clinical trial development within the pharmaceutical, biotechnology, or life sciences industry
Experience managing statistical activities across multiple clinical studies
Demonstrated project management experience within a clinical development environment
Experience overseeing external statistical vendors and CROs
Strong understanding of clinical trial design, statistical methodology, and data analysis

Technical Skills

Working knowledge of global regulatory guidance governing statistical analyses of clinical data
Understanding of regulatory submission requirements and industry standards
Advanced experience with SAS
Familiarity with SAS/GRAPH, SAS/MACRO, and R
Experience interpreting and applying complex statistical methodologies
Knowledge of CDISC standards and electronic submission requirements

This individual will be comfortable working across functional groups, managing external partnerships, and translating complex statistical findings into actionable insights for both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
