Import Export Coordinator
Location: Surprise, AZ
Reports to: Trade Compliance Manager
Compensation: $23–$27 per hour, DOE

Work Environment:
Primary location is Surprise, AZ, with occasional, paid travel to client locations in the Pheonix Metro area. We offer a travel-friendly environment with mileage reimbursement plus a 30% bonus above the federal rate, along with flexible scheduling during travel to support work-life balance.
Key Responsibilities:

Trade Compliance & Documentation

Ensure compliance with U.S. Customs (CBP) regulations and internal policies

Prepare, review, and maintain shipping documentation, including commercial invoices and export manifests

Verify HTS classifications and country of origin for accuracy

Logistics Coordination
-
Coordinate shipments with freight forwarders, brokers, and carriers

Monitor shipment timelines, resolve delays proactively, and ensure documentation aligns with export declarations

Inventory & Recordkeeping

Maintain accurate, auditable records of inventory and shipment activity

Ensure compliance with traceability and recordkeeping requirements

Reporting & Process Support

Support weekly and monthly reporting, including export summaries

Assist with compliance inquiries, documentation corrections, and SOP updates
Qualifications:
-
Required
-
Working knowledge of U.S. import/export regulations and CBP procedures
-
2+ years of experience in import/export operations, trade compliance, customs brokerage, freight forwarding, or international logistics.

Associate degree in Business, Supply Chain, Logistics, or equivalent experience

Strong attention to detail and organizational skills

Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Outlook, Word)

Strong communication and interpersonal skills to collaborate across departments and external partners.

Preferred

Experience using the ACE portal

Knowledge of bonded movements

Familiarity with trade compliance systems such as Descartes or SAP

Automotive and/or electronic experience a plus
