Job Summary
We are seeking a versatile, hands-on CNC operator to run CNC equipment, work directly with various CNC controls, and contribute to long-term scalability and training.
The ideal candidate is experienced, meticulous, and comfortable working in a fast-paced, hands-on manufacturing setting. This role requires versatility and the ability to work independently on a variety of custom and production runs.
Key Responsibilities
- Operate manual and CNC machines including mills, tool cutter grinder, lathes, laser.
- Read and interpret technical drawings, blueprints, and work orders.
- Measure and inspect finished products using precision tools (calipers, micrometers, gauges, optical comparators).
- Run and support various shop equipment
- Collaborate on process improvements that increase accuracy and efficiency.
- Support internal training efforts by creating clear documentation and repeatable workflows.
- Perform routine maintenance on machines and troubleshoot minor issues.
- Maintain a clean and organized work area, following all safety protocols.
Qualifications
- Strong knowledge of CNC machining practices, cutting tools, and material properties.
- Proficient with precision measurement tools and basic math.
- Detail-oriented with strong critical thinking skills and mechanical aptitude.
- Able to work independently and manage time effectively in a small team environment.
- Ability to clearly document and manage time.
- High school diploma or equivalent; technical/vocational training preferred.
- Minimum 3+ years of experience operating CNC and manual machining equipment required.
- Formal education is not required. We value demonstrated skill, hands-on trade experience, reliability, and technical competence.
Nice to Have
- Welding, fabrication, or assembly skills
- General material handling experience.
- Experience training or assisting less-experienced machine operators.
What We Offer
Job Type: Full Time
Pay: DOE $25.00 per hour. Monday-Friday 8-4:30. Occasional overtime available.
