Full Job Description

Job Summary

The Accounting & Administrative Assistant will play a vital role in supporting daily accounting operations and office management. This role is a fantastic opportunity to gain real-world experience in a professional environment while contributing to critical business functions.

Primary Responsibilities:

Manage and update Excel spreadsheets related to financial and administrative tracking.
Review, sort, and distribute incoming mail and correspondence to appropriate departments.
Provide general administrative support, including filing, scanning, and maintaining office supplies.
Help maintain financial records and data entry in accounting software and spreadsheets.
Assist with basic accounts payable functions, including invoice tracking, data entry, and preparing documentation for processing.
Support accounts receivable activities such as monitoring outstanding invoices, updating payment records, and assisting with follow-ups as needed.
Gain exposure to financial processes, compliance, and business operations in a hands-on learning environment.

Minimum Education and Experience:

Currently enrolled in a four-year undergraduate program, pursuing a degree in Accounting, Finance, or Business

Competencies Required:

Strong time management, critical thinking, and problem-solving skills.
Basic proficiency in Microsoft Office, particularly Excel.
Foundational understanding of accounting principles (e.g., debits/credits, AP/AR processes) preferred.
Self-motivated, detail-oriented, and highly organized.
Strong verbal and written communication skills, including proofreading, copy editing, and professional email etiquette.
Ability to manage multiple tasks and prioritize effectively in a fast-paced environment.
Experience with NetSuite or other accounting software is a plus but not required.
Comfortable communicating with management, employees, and vendors via phone and email.

Work Environment/Physical Demands/Travel Required:

Hybrid Office-based position at our Alpharetta, GA Corporate office
In office 3 days per week (Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday)
General office working conditions requiring long periods of sitting and computer work.
