Job Overview

We are seeking a detail-oriented and proactive Accounting Clerk to join our dynamic finance team. In this vital role, you will support the organization’s financial operations by managing data entry, processing transactions, and maintaining accurate financial records. Your expertise will help ensure compliance with accounting standards such as GAAP (Generally Accepted Accounting Principles), while utilizing QuickBooks desktop and QuickBooks online software. This position offers an exciting opportunity to develop your accounting skills within a fast-paced environment committed to excellence and integrity.

Duties

Perform data entry for accounts payable, accounts receivable, and general ledger transactions with precision and efficiency
Reconcile accounts, including balance sheets and general ledger entries, ensuring accuracy and completeness
Prepare journal entries and assist with month-end closing processes in compliance with GAAP and company policies
Manage accounts payable and receivable using QuickBooks desktop and online software
Conduct account reconciliation tasks to verify transaction accuracy and resolve discrepancies promptly
Handle confidential financial information with integrity and discretion
Support budgeting activities and assist in financial data analysis using Excel spreadsheets and other tools

Skills

Strong understanding of accounting principles including GAAP, governmental accounting standards, and technical accounting concepts
Excellent numeracy skills with the ability to perform complex calculations accurately
Demonstrated experience in bookkeeping, journal entries, double-entry bookkeeping, and account reconciliation
Ability to handle multiple tasks efficiently while maintaining attention to detail in a fast-paced environment
