The Club

Championships run through the blood of Inverness. Since opening in 1903, Inverness Club has hosted four U.S. Opens, two PGA Championships, two NCAA Men's Championships, the Solheim Cup, and is the only club to have hosted the U.S. Open, U.S. Amateur, U.S. Senior Open, and U.S. Junior Amateur. With the 2027 U.S. Women's Open, 2029 U.S. Amateur, and future USGA championships already on the calendar, our commitment to excellence extends far beyond the golf course.

The Role

Server Assistants play a vital role in every successful dining service. Working alongside servers, bartenders, and culinary staff, you'll help maintain the pace of service by keeping dining areas clean, organized, and ready for every guest.

This is an active, team-oriented position where no two shifts are exactly alike. One moment you may be resetting tables for the next seating, the next you're refilling water glasses, assisting with food service, or anticipating a member's needs before they have to ask.

The best Server Assistants understand that great hospitality is built through countless small moments executed exceptionally well.

What You'll Do

Maintain clean, organized dining tables throughout service
Reset tables promptly and prepare them for arriving members and guests
Clear used plates, glassware, silverware, and other service items efficiently
Transport dishes and service ware to the dishwashing area
Refill water and other beverages throughout meal service
Deliver sauces, condiments, and other requested accompaniments
Check on members and guests to ensure they have everything they need
Support servers and bartenders to create smooth, efficient service
Maintain cleanliness throughout dining rooms and service stations
Uphold the hospitality standards and professionalism of Inverness Club

Qualifications

High school diploma or equivalent preferred
Strong communication and customer service skills
Ability to lift and carry 50 pounds or more
Ability to remain on your feet for extended periods
Dependable work ethic and willingness to work as part of a team
Availability to work evenings, weekends, holidays, and club events
