Full Job Description

Position Summary

DHCARE is seeking a bilingual HR Coordinator fluent in Chinese. The HR Coordinator is responsible for supporting the Human Resources department in various tasks to ensure efficient operations within a licensed home care agency. This role involves coordinating recruitment and onboarding, maintaining employee records, managing compliance, and providing assistance during audits. The HR Coordinator works closely with the HR Manager and agency staff to support HR-related needs, promote a positive work environment, and uphold regulatory standards. The role requires working both independently and collaboratively as part of a supportive HR team.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities
The essential functions include, but are not limited to the following:

Ensure new hires and existing employees (HHA/PCA) are following with DOH regulations including pre-employment physicals, annual updates, and in-service requirements. Manage HHA/PA files, following up for missing documentation and filing of paperwork
Data Entry – enter compliance information of new hires paperwork in the system, making sure that information is entered properly
Manage the verifications of employment and verification of ID
Provide orientation to incoming HHA
Coordinate and schedule HHA for in-services training (online)

Minimum Qualifications (Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities)

Language: Must be bilingual Chinese (Mandarin) and English
Technical Skills: Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, Email and HR management systems.
Knowledge: Familiarity with home care regulations (Medicare, Medicaid) and employee onboarding processes.
Skills: Excellent communication (verbal and written), strong organizational skills, problem-solving ability, and capacity to work with minimal supervision.
Language: Must speak Chinese fluently.
Specific Experience: Preferred experience in handling HR processes such as recruitment, onboarding, and employee relations in a home care setting.
Experience with home care HR, onboarding, and caregiver compliance
Strong communication, organization, and follow-up skills
HHAeXchange (HHAX) and/or ADP experience preferred

Candidates without prior LHCSA experience will not be considered.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $23.00 - $27.00 per hour

Education:

High school or equivalent (Preferred)

Experience:

Human Resources: 1 year (Preferred)
Leadership Experience: 1 year (Preferred)

Ability to Relocate:

Jamaica, NY 11432: Relocate before starting work (Required)
