I. Position Description:

The Manufacturing Engineer will monitor create CNC machining programs and processes to align with customer print requirements. The Manufacturing Engineer will also monitor and adjust programs and processes as needed to ensure optimal results.

A successful Manufacturing Engineer should have a great understanding of CNC programming as well as excellent troubleshooting skills.

II. Knowledge, Skills & Experience

A.S. Degree in industrial, or mechanical engineering required at a minimum. BS in Mechanical Engineering, Industrial Engineering or relevant field preferred. Degree requirement may be waived with appropriate OTJ experience as determined by ATP management staff.
2-4 years experience in manufacturing engineering. (Aerospace preferred).
1-2 years experience in a CNC manufacturing environment (Aerospace preferred)(Job shop experience preferred)
Working knowledge of Microsoft Excel & Word.
Basic knowledge of metrology practices.
Excellent troubleshooting skills and abilities.
Excellent GD&T and blueprint reading skills.
Strong knowledge of CAD/CAM software (MasterCam preferred)

III. Job Responsibilities

Programming CNC machines for basic to complex part configurations.
Oversee and improve CNC programs as needed to improve quality.
Participate in production planning activities.
Participate in DFM and other design related activities with customers as needed.

Typical work week is 50-55 hours to mirror production work.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $50,000.00 - $95,000.00 per year
