Full Job Description

Position: Director of Finance & Administration
Location: Phoenix, NY
Job Type: Full-time
Reports To: U.S. President (dotted line to Group CFO, Germany)

Role Overview

The Director of Finance & Administration is a critical senior leadership role responsible for establishing, managing, and scaling all finance, accounting, controlling, and indirect shared services for the U.S. operations of Daldrop Cleanroom Systems. Reporting directly to the U.S. President with a dotted line to the Group CFO, this role combines hands-on execution during the build-up phase with strategic leadership to create a scalable, well-governed organization.

As part of Daldrop’s continued U.S. expansion, this role will be instrumental in shaping the next phase of the local organization and driving operational excellence. Following the successful establishment of Daldrop SBB LLC nearly seven years ago, the company is now entering a major growth phase with the opening of its largest manufacturing expansion outside of Germany in April 2026.

Until now, U.S. operations have been managed primarily from Massachusetts. With the relocation of operations and the creation of new leadership roles, the strategic center of U.S. activities will shift to Central New York. This position offers a rare opportunity to join a fast-growing international organization at a pivotal moment and to play a foundational role in its long-term success.

This is not a maintenance-oriented finance role. It is a build-and-scale leadership position requiring both disciplined financial governance and active operational involvement.

Key Responsibilities

Finance Leadership & Financial Governance

Full responsibility for local finance, accounting, and financial controlling activities for the U.S. entity
Establish and manage compliant accounting and controlling processes aligned with US GAAP, local tax regulations, and Group policies
Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements, management reports, and variance analyses
Lead budgeting, forecasting, and cash flow planning for U.S. operations
Act as the primary finance counterpart for external auditors, tax advisors, banks, and authorities
Ensure transparency, data quality, and timely reporting to Group Finance
Support strategic decision-making during rapid growth with structured financial insight

Shared Services & Indirect Function Leadership

Functional leadership and administrative responsibility for indirect shared services, with a strong focus on operational enablement and alignment with global standards:

IT & ERP Support: Local coordination of business IT services, applications, and infrastructure in close alignment with Global IT and ERP governance
Human Resources: Administrative and governance oversight of the local HR function through the local HR Manager, ensuring effective staffing, onboarding, HR administration, training, payroll coordination, and alignment with global HR frameworks.
Procurement (Operational Focus): Oversight of financial operational procurement processes, supplier coordination, and purchasing activities aligned with global sourcing strategies
Quality & Documentation Administration: Oversight of documentation control and quality-related administrative processes in coordination with operational and engineering teams
Risk Management & Compliance: Local implementation and ongoing development of the Group risk management and compliance framework, including commercial and contractual matters relevant to U.S. construction and manufacturing environments

Organizational Build-up & Operational Execution

Actively support the setup and scaling of the U.S. organization, including structures, roles, and processes for indirect functions
Take a hands-on role during the initial phase, personally executing key finance and administrative tasks to ensure continuity while building scalable systems
Support hiring, onboarding, and development of indirect function teams, including active participation in recruitment and team build-up
Balance execution and delegation as the organization matures and indirect teams expand

ERP, Systems & Process Alignment

Serve as local steering and coordination lead for the rollout and ongoing operation of the global ERP system
Ensure accurate local implementation of global finance, controlling, and administrative processes
Act as a key interface between U.S. operations and global process owners to ensure consistency and usability

Compliance, Risk & Regulatory Environment

Ensure compliance with local legal, financial, HR, and data protection requirements
Support identification, assessment, and mitigation of operational and financial risks at the U.S. entity level
Adapt global compliance and risk management standards to meet U.S.-specific regulatory and commercial expectations

Interface & Stakeholder Management

Close collaboration with the U.S. leadership team across Sales, Engineering, Manufacturing, and Construction Project Delivery
Functional coordination with Group Finance, Global HR, Global IT, and other central shared service functions
Serve as a trusted local counterpart bridging U.S. operational needs with global governance requirements

Qualifications

Education

Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Business Administration, or a related field

Experience

8–10+ years of progressive experience in finance and administration
Experience in manufacturing, industrial construction, or engineered systems environments preferred
Demonstrated experience building or scaling finance operations, shared services, or administrative functions
Prior exposure to international or matrixed reporting environments strongly preferred
Strong working knowledge of US GAAP, tax regulations, and HR-related financial governance

Skills

Proven leadership capability across multidisciplinary functions
Hands-on, execution-oriented mindset combined with strategic judgment
Strong financial discipline, structured thinking, and risk awareness
Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills
Familiary with various financial software

Language

Fluent English (German not required)
