About Associates for Women’s Medicine

Associates for Women's Medicine consists of Board-Certified Obstetrician / Gynecologists, as well as licensed midwives and other professional staff with expertise in a vast array of women's health areas. Associates for Women's Medicine continually strives for excellence in both patient customer service and patient satisfaction, making every effort to provide a comfortable and caring environment for all our patients.

Position Summary

The Human Resources Manager serves as the organization's primary Human Resources leader responsible for overseeing all Human Resources functions across a multi-site healthcare organization. This position partners closely with executive leadership to develop and execute strategies that support employee engagement, organizational growth, operational excellence, regulatory compliance, and workforce development.

Responsibilities

Serve as the organization's primary Human Resources leader and strategic advisor to executive leadership.
Partner with leadership to develop and implement Human Resources strategies that support organizational goals and workforce planning.
Lead employee relations, including investigations, conflict resolution, performance management, corrective action, and manager coaching.
Administer employee leave programs, accommodations, and the interactive process in compliance with federal and state employment laws.
Manage the full recruitment lifecycle, including workforce planning, job descriptions, interviewing, hiring, onboarding, and orientation.
Administer payroll, benefits, compensation adjustments, incentive programs, and annual open enrollment.
Develop compensation recommendations and support internal equity and workforce planning initiatives.
Ensure compliance with all applicable employment laws and regulatory requirements, including maintenance of personnel records, unemployment claims, OSHA documentation, and HR compliance programs.
Research, develop, implement, and maintain Human Resources policies, procedures, Standard Operating Procedures, and organizational best practices.
Coordinate the organization's performance management program, including evaluations, employee development, succession planning, and leadership coaching.
Develop and facilitate employee orientation, leadership training, compliance education, certification tracking, and professional development initiatives.
Develop and maintain Human Resources metrics, dashboards, reports, and workforce analytics to support executive decision-making.
Identify opportunities to improve operational efficiency through process improvement, standardization, and organizational development initiatives.
Maintain Human Resources Information Systems (HRIS) and oversee confidential employee records and documentation.
Lead special Human Resources projects and organizational initiatives as assigned.

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities

Thorough knowledge of federal and New York State employment laws, Human Resources best practices, and regulatory compliance.
Strong leadership, decision-making, and problem-solving skills with the ability to manage complex and sensitive employee matters.
Excellent interpersonal, communication, and relationship-building skills, with the ability to influence and coach leaders at all levels.
Strong organizational and project management skills with the ability to prioritize multiple responsibilities in a fast-paced environment.
Ability to maintain confidentiality while exercising sound judgment, professionalism, and discretion.
Proficiency with Human Resources Information Systems (HRIS), payroll systems, Microsoft Office, and data analysis/reporting tools.

Qualifications and Experience

Required

Bachelor’s degree in human resources, Business Administration, or a related field, OR equivalent experience.
Five (5) or more years of progressive Human Resources experience.
Strong knowledge of federal and New York State employment laws.
Experience administering payroll, benefits, employee relations, leave administration, and Human Resources systems.
Excellent communication, organizational, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
Ability to exercise sound judgment while maintaining confidentiality.
Proficiency with Microsoft Office and Human Resources Information Systems.

Preferred

Healthcare Human Resources experience.
Multi-site Human Resources leadership experience.
Experience developing Human Resources policies and organizational procedures.
Experience leading organizational process improvement initiatives.
SHRM-CP, SHRM-SCP, PHR, or SPHR certification preferred.
