Full Job Description

We are looking for an individual with skill, ability and compassion to fulfill our part-time every other weekend Activities Assistant CNA position. We believe that taking pride in everything we do for our residents is a calling.

The person we are looking for fully understands the health value for seniors who are involved in social and physical activities. We are looking for someone with endless energy who also is an effective motivator of residents while never running out of new and creative activities.

Candidates must have the following knowledge and skills:

***Experience working with elders in assisted living/skilled nursing field particularly in Activities. *
Knowledge of computers and software applications necessary for the professional publication of monthly newsletters and calendars
A valid state driver's license with a clean driving record.
Skilled at building relationships with residents and families
The role is central to fostering a vibrant, inclusive environment that promotes independence, connection, and quality of life.

Key Responsibilities

Plan and coordinate activities such as games, exercise classes, arts & crafts, outings, cultural events, and therapeutic programs, adapting them to residents’ abilities and preferences
Maintain activity calendars and distribute schedules via flyers, room notices, and digital platforms.
Facilitate and lead activities to ensure smooth execution, safety, and resident engagement .
Maintain detailed records of attendance, participation notes, and contributing to care plans and MDS documentation
Encourage participation and boost morale by engaging with residents and their families
Ensure safety and comfort during all activities, including assisting residents with special needs
